About the Therapist

Nicole Brule-Walker trained in Toronto, Canada and has worked in the health, fitness and sporting industry for over ten years; graduating in 1996 from the Sports Injury Management Program, she went on to study Clinical Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic. As well as working in both clinical and hospital settings, she has worked with Rugby, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams up to international level. A particular highlight was working with Uruguay at the Rugby World Cup in 1999.

Nicole is also a Certified Pilates Teacher and Movement Therapist having trained with Second Wind Pilates Plus studio in Toronto, Ontario and it was through teaching Pilates that she discovered her passion for postural work. She continued her education through CranioSacral and Manual Lymphatic Drainage work as well as using Low Level Laser for treatment of injuries.

Nicole has assessed many injuries as a therapist, predominantly caused through incorrect posture and faulty body mechanics. Using client specific Pilates core exercise programs and Clinical Massage treatments she has enabled people to enjoy a better quality of life. Treatment of injuries and conditions may include Swedish Massage techniques, Fascial work, manual stretching, joint mobilization, CranioSacral and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

One to one Pilates tuition is scheduled on an appointment basis. Class timetables are available by request.

Payment is either cash or cheque as there is no credit or debit card facility.

The initial treatment is generally conducted after the assessment, provided you have consented to the proposed treatment, and all findings will be discussed at this time.

A plan for future care and suitable exercise programs will be given at the end of the appointment.

Massage Therapy has a strong link with Chiropractic care, and the two types of treatment work well in conjunction with one another.

Clinical Massage

A clinical massage differs from the massage you would receive from a Beauty Therapist. A full confidential medical history is taken at the beginning of the first appointment followed by Orthopaedic testing to determine the nature and severity of the injury or condition.
